Short with Long Island

January 17, 2012

My friend Eric from Long Island was here this morning for a short 4.5 mile run.  The average winter temperature on Long Island is 33.7 degrees.  This morning’s temperature?  34 degrees.  Coincidence?  I think not.

We ran the lollipop route with an additional half mile to make up the programmed distance.  Good to be out again with Eric on a winter’s morning.  Miss those daily runs with him.

Ended the run feeling short changed on the distance.  A good indicator things are still going well with the slow build up.  In week 6 of 15 now.

Added links to the photos of the Olympic Trials Marathon on the side bar.
